April 2021 Prestigious international competition chooses the seven best Malbecs in Argentina: Our wine is among them!
With a view to a new World Malbec Day (April 17th), the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) released its list of the best Argentine Malbecs tasted by its experts in the last year.
IWSC differentiated the Malbec of our country from the French and highlighted that those made in France are generally tannic, inky and dark, while Argentine wines are rich, velvety and spicy.
Although he clarified that the true home of Argentine Malbec is Mendoza, close to the Andes and the Chilean border, he praised the work done in other parts of the country and gave the example of ANTIGUA BODEGA – ARBW, which does excellent work in San Juan.
«Argentine Malbec is one of the most reliable red wines you will find, and here are the best, as judged at IWSC 2020,» he added and announced the wines chosen, including our Malbec wine that we developed for ASDA UK 4 years ago.

Lilac and lavender blossom through the nose and palate, while cherry and blackberry meld with sweet and savoury herbs in endless complexity. Fresh acidity and soft tannins corral intense depth with languid skill, while the finish shows a grainy touch. Wonderful typicity. 13,5%
